Teck is looking for an experienced Superintendent, Maintenance Engineering to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Asset Planning & Reliability Manager, the Superintendent, Maintenance Engineering is responsible for overseeing Maintenance Engineering activities and team for plants and services at Trail Operations. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Manage and oversee Maintenance Engineering for the Lead Operations plant, Leaching plants, and E&M plants as well as other groups as assigned Align plant and site-wide priorities and set expectations for the maintenance engineering team aligned with the 20-year and 5-year business plans Provide input into the maintenance engineering budget by monitoring and reporting on expenditures and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and explaining variances Define timing of major maintenance based on risk backssments, develop cost estimates for the work that can be included in the budgeting process,.
