Cardinal River mine is a steelmaking coal mine located approximately 42 kilometers south of Hinton, Alberta, just outside the Hamlet of Cadomin, Alberta. The mine was a major producer of steelmaking coal from 1969-2020, and has since transitioned into active closure, with an ongoing focus on post-closure reclamation. In this position, you will be working at one of Canada's most unique mine sites in active closure. Come j oin us in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains of Alberta. Cardinal River The shift schedule will be an Earned Day Off Schedule, working 9 hours per day Monday-Thursday, 8 hours on Friday and taking every second Friday off with the potential to change to rotation of 9 days on, followed by 5 days off, depending on business requirements.
