General Technologist MM - Optical Device Characterization Duration: 2 - 3 years What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a Technologist to work with our quantum sensing team, and assist with activities like: Building optical microscopy systems Characterizing photoluminescent defects in wide-bandgap semiconductors for quantum information applications Perform simple processing/cleaning of semiconductor devices. Collect/prepare data for scientific publications and presentations. Qualifications We Require Master's degree in scientific field Up to Two years' experience in semiconductor device characterization Software skills in Python Demonstrated written and verbal skills through publication and presentation Qualifications We Desire Hands-on laboratory experience with photonic device characterization About Our Team The Nanostructure Physics Department is one of two departments that are a part of The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT www.cint.lanl.gov). CINT is a Department of Energy/Office of Science Nanoscale Science Research Center operating as a national user facility devoted to establishing the scientific principles that govern the design, performance, and integration of nanoscale materials. Through its Core facility and the Gateway facility, CINT provides users from academia, industry, and government labs, open access to the tools and expertise needed to explore the continuum from scientific discovery to the integration of nanostructures into the micro- and macro world.
