Summer Associates VISTA ProgramUnited Way's AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate program offers individuals the opportunity to become engaged in their communities through an existing AmeriCorps VISTA project. All assignments will help to promote the health, safety and education of every person in the Greater Lehigh Valley and ensure that every person belongs and every person thrives. Projects will run for 10 weeks over the summer and all participants will receive a living allowance and an education award for their service.Summer Feeding and Learning Coordinator VISTAs - support Lehigh Valley summer learning partners and the Lehigh Valley Food Policy Council to increase quality summer learning engagement and food security. Activities include:• Coordinate and deliver meals through the federal summer meals program• Coordinate summer learning activities for low-income youth• Provide opportunities for family engagement through connection to learning resources• Collect data on federal summer meals, summer learning programs and success storiesSummer Meals Coordinator VISTAs - support the Lehigh Valley Food Policy Council to increase food security for children and families. Activities include:• Raise awareness of feeding opportunities in the Greater Lehigh Valley• Coordinate and deliver meals through the federal summer meals program as needed• Provide opportunities for family engagement through connection to learning resources• Collect data on federal summer meals programs and success storiesSummer Learning Coordinator VISTAs - support Lehigh Valley Summer Learning partners to increase quality summer learning engagement. Activities include:• Raise awareness of summer learning opportunities in the Greater Lehigh Valley• Coordinate summer learning activities for low-income youth• Provide opportunities for family engagement through connection to learning resources• Collect data on summer learning programs and success storiesHere is some important information about the Summer Associates Program: Must be at 18 years of age The term is ten weeks and is June 13, 2023-August 18, 2023 Living allowance for the service term is $3,380 The positions are in between 30-40 hours a week Education award is $1,374 Positions are available in Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton counties You may complete the formal AmeriCorps application at: My AmeriCorps - Home Page United Way of the Greater LV is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled
