Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for all business forecasting and will provide analysis in decision-making matters both operationally and strategically. The Plant Accountant will also direct activities of product manufacturing analysis, inventory valuation, and analyze various costs to ensure integrity, working in collaboration with the costing department. Education Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge 5+ years of plant accounting experience in a manufacturing facility, with an expertise in BOM creation, maintenance, costing and variance reporting. Industrial manufacturing experience and an understanding of production processes and procedures. Experience with intercompany transactions. Advanced working knowledge of ERP systems and Excel formulations. Skills and Abilities This position requires strong collaboration, and the ability to partner with multiple business leaders within the organization. Be a motivational leader and be able to inspire a team in a constantly changing environment. Be a change agent capable of identifying opportunities for improvement and driving improvement initiatives to fruition. Exceptional organizational skills. The ability to multitask and balance several projects simultaneously on a national scope. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Job Responsibilities Prepare various financial analytics related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information as needed for decision making support. Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
