Florence Unified School District #1 is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Secondary Science Teacher-Anticipated Openings Location: District Wide School Year: 2024-2025 Date Available: 07/08/2024 Position Purpose: As a secondary Science teacher in the Florence Unified School District, you will have the unique opportunity to nurture students' science growth across a range of levels and topics.. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our students to explore the wonders of science and prepare for a future filled with endless possibilities. Your commitment to educational equity, inclusivity, and diversity will be key to ensuring all students have access to a high-quality science education. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on Science Education or a related field. Valid state teaching certification in specific science content area(s) assigned to this position Strong knowledge of specific science content as well as the ability to teach a range of science disciplines. Dedication to educational equity and the ability to create an inclusive and diverse classroom environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for inspiring students to explore the world of science and develop critical thinking skills. Commitment to removing educational barriers and fostering community empowerment. Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the core area content Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Education. Minimum of three (3) years of previous teaching experience or school experience in teaching Math (preferred) Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card Valid Arizona Teaching certificate
