This is a Monday-Friday DAY shift preparing healthy, delectable meals from scratch using only the finest ingredients. Meals are prepared and served onsite to students and faculty members. This school is situated on an enormous parcel of land and is a set as a wilderness and outdoor learning centre. It is a beautiful, tranquil setting. If you are someone who enjoys nature and the outdoors, this may be the best work setting for you! Job Responsibilities Works to create upscale menu items for three daily meals using the finest ingredients Source local fresh produce and seasonal ingredients when possible Responsible for the preparation of meal service ensuring excellence in presentation and quality 80% of the time will be spent prepping, cooking, expediting and delegating Manage all kitchen operations and supervise one cook and a dishwasher Ordering food, employee scheduling, daily huddles, temperature checks, log entries Develop and maintain positive client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance and safety and sanitation in kitchen Ensure compliance with Aramark SAFE food, occupational and environmental safety policies in all culinary and kitchen operations Follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wages, and hours At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers.
