Sacco Mann are recruiting for a skilled and experienced NIHL Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Claims Handler to join our reputable firm of solicitors based in Leeds. As a disease claims handler, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of noise-induced hearing loss claims from inception to settlement, ensuring the provision of exceptional client service and achieving optimal outcomes for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of NIHL claims, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities: Case Management: Efficiently manage a caseload of litigated NIHL claims, ensuring compliance with internal and external service standards. Initial backssment: Conduct comprehensive initial backssments of new NIHL claims, reviewing medical records, witness statements, and other relevant documentation to evaluate the potential strength and viability of the case. Investigation and Evidence Gathering: Undertake thorough investigations to gather necessary evidence, including obtaining witness statements, instructing medical experts, and liaising with external agencies to support the claim. Legal Research: Conduct legal research related to NIHL claims, keeping up to date with relevant case law and legislation to provide accurate advice and guidance to clients. Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with defendant representatives, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to achieve fair and optimal settlement outcomes for clients. Litigation: Progress files throughout the litigation process, adhere to court directions, draft witness statements and court applications, prepare cases for trial and deal with post-trial formalities Client Communication: Maintain regular and effective communication with clients, providing updates on case progress,.
