Job title: Senior Ecologist Salary: GBP35,000 : GBP45,000Location: Birmingham We are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join a multi: disciplinary consultancy in Birmingham. In this position you will get ownership of projects, but also have access to large multi: disciplined projects where you will work as a team. The Senior Ecologist position offers: GBP35,000 : GBP45,000 per annum Hybrid working (3 days per week on: site) Competitive benefits package with annual salary reviews. 26 days holiday per year, rising to 31 days with loyalty days, plus bank holidays. As a Senior Ecologist, some of your main duties will be: Report writing for PEA reports, Ec IA, Biodiversity Net Gain backssments and BREEAM 2018 backssments. Undertaking ecological surveys and desk: based studies. Technical review of reports. Acting as Expert Witness for Public enquiry Have a solid understanding of conservation legislation and protected species licensing. Undertaking Ecological Impact backssments. Providing pragmatic, commercially aware ecological advice to a portfolio clients. To be considered, you will need: A thorough knowledge of ecological legislation and planning policy in the UK. Ideally have experience in both linear infrastructure and property development projects. Full Membership or approaching of CIEEM and/or Chartered Ecologist status. High level FISC grade. River Condition backssment trained. Bat Licence Level 2 or above. Good BNG experience. Terrestrial Invertebrate or Ornithology experience.
