The Health and Safety Manager supports the Manpower Group business in Canada, by overseeing the Canadian Health & Safety Program by promoting health and safety awareness and education to fellow employees. Results & Strategy The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for: • Creating and implementing workplace health and safety plans and procedures • Evaluate health and safety practice and procedures for risk backssment and following legal guidelines. • Conduct accident prevention training and health and safety training. • Monitor employee conformity to safety laws and policies. • Assist the field or Health and Safety Claims Specialist with investigating accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures for further incidents. • Oversee worker's compensation claims in coordination with the Claims Management provider and field or Health and Safety Claims Specialist in the event of a workplace accident. • Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for safety issues. • When requested, work with clients as a Safety expert to provide consultation on preventative measure to support the reduction of injuries and to further develop client relationships. • Participates in industry sponsored Safety Excellence Program (ACSESS) and completes and supports are related work. • Review Accident Costs as needed with lead team- and review financial data and monitor financial trending. • Provide adequate resources for implementing, maintaining, and improving Manpower Group's Health and Safety program in Canada. • Appoint management representatives (managers and supervisors) with defined roles, authority, and responsibility, including responsibilities for Manpower Group's Health and Safety program in Canada. • Manage the project plans including change management activities, training, adherence to timeline/project scope/capital budget, and communication practices with internal and external stakeholders to ensure awareness/alignment. .
