Job details: - Salary: $ 22.00 CAD/ hour / 40 hours per Week - Terms of employment: Permanent employment - Full time - Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, Weekend - Start date: as soon as possible - Vacancies: 1 vacancy - Source Job Bank #2534189 Overview Languages English Education- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience5 years or more Work setting- Restaurant Ranks of chefs- Head chef Responsibilities Tasks- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff - Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers - Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food - Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff - Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions - Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs - Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions - Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs - Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants - Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards - Recruit and hire staff - Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks - Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Supervision- 5-10 people Experience and specialization Cuisine specialties- Lebanese Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities- Fast-paced environment - Work under pressure - Tight deadlines - Attention to detail - Standing for extended periods Personal suitability- Dependability - Organized - Reliability - Team player Who can apply to this job?
