Shift Maintenance Engineer Wednesfield Salary: GBP35,400 : GBP42,480 per annum including shift allowance must be qualified Must be able to weld, fault find and repair hydraulics work with cylinders and read technical drawings and be qualified NVQ level 3 Acorn by Synergie have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and established Shift Maintenance Engineer / Technician to join our clients team based at their site in Wednesfield. What You Will Do You would support our clients operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability and productivity are optimised. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Health and Safety Perform activities. Ensure appropriate actions are implemented in order to eliminate risk. Planned Maintenance / Breakdowns Working to planned schedules perform planned maintenance activities in line with documented / engineering practices. Maintain and repair processing machinery and ancillary equipment in line with documented / engineering practices in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost. Give feedback to the Maintenance planning function regarding issue / root cause / emerging work Ensuring clear and concise records are maintained in order trends can be determined and corrective actions identified. Through utilisation of the Planned Maintenance system ensure engineering spares and inventory on site are managed within budget constraints and equipment downtime is minimised. Facilitate optimal performance by working flexibly within the team and the context of the site, undertaking maintenance at short notice. Training / Resource Be actively involved in own personal development plans to maximise performance in the role and the contribution to succession requirements of the business.
