Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and cook meals for guests and crew members according to menu specifications and dietary restrictions- Ensure that all food is cooked and presented in a timely and professional manner- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation standards- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure they are following proper cooking techniques and safety procedures- Collaborate with other departments, such as the dining room and housekeeping, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation- Adhere to budget and cost control measures to minimize food waste and expenses- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and dress code- Assist with menu planning and development, taking into account guest feedback and dietary trendsRequirements:- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a cruise ship or hotel setting- Culinary degree or equivalent experience- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks- Excellent communication and teamwork skills- Strong organizational and time-management skills- Flexibility to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules- Must have a valid food handler's certificate or equivalent- Must pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug test
