Position Overview Under the general direction of the Executive Director Health Services and in collaboration with other site program educator (s) and other hospital stakeholders, the incumbent is responsible for: Educational program development. Teaching and learning activities. Nursing practice standards. Client education development. Professional and self-development. Note : The priority and percentages of each of the above functions may vary over time. Experience Must have a minimum of four years recent nursing experience with demonstrated clinical competency. Three or more years of geriatric clinical experience and/or long term care. Previous experience in health care education program development, delivery and evaluation of theory and clinical practice preferred. Must be certified BCLS instructor. Experience in collaborative care and inter professional education. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Adult Education certificate from recognized institution preferred. Certificate in geriatric nursing preferred.
