At voco Grand Central Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Events Operations Supervisor… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, across 5 shifts per week. Being flexible would be a great plus! We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days. At voco Hotels we are reliably different, the trusted name above the door but with a distinctive character. We believe that everyone is a host and are looking for someone who can help us create memorable experiences for our guests. We are paying £12.60 per hour plus service charge, all hours worked paid for. As a Events Operations Team Leader your main duties and responsibilities will be supporting our C&B manager to ensure that the department is running smoothly and that our guests and customers are receiving 5 service throughout. You will support by dealing with any high-level service recoveries, training any of our new starts and managing your shift in the absence of the C&B manager. To thrive in this role, the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: Experience working within a busy Events Operations team within a 4 or 5 hotel would be beneficial, ideally as either a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager Passion for providing an excellent guest service, you will be someone who enjoys interacting with guests to ensure they are having a uniquely personal experience! Experience developing and coaching team members to make sure that they are performing at their best Willing to learn new things and work as part of our wider Hotel team!
