We are looking to recruit a Sous Chef for the upcoming winter season. The Sous Chef is a leader within the kitchen operations as it relates to food production, health and safety, sanitation, teaching techniques and menu execution while providing direct support to Culinary Leadership. The environment is bustling as three (3) large kitchens within the property provide complete food and beverage services to our local, hotel and business guests. This role provides every opportunity to continue developing a career in culinary art, opening opportunities for advancement internally and externally throughout the Tourism/Hospitality industry. Work Location Address: Sun Peaks Grand Hotel – 3240 Village Way, Sun Peaks, BC V0E 5N0Hourly Wage: $28.00 per hour, 40 hours per week Accountabilities: • Oversees the culinary team in an assigned kitchen, as they work together to prepare and deliver an elevated dining experience for the guest • Ensures assigned kitchen is up to department standards and equipment exceeds health and safety standards • Ensures opening and closing procedures are followed for assigned kitchen• Ensures the culinary team adheres to the schedule, inclusive of breaks• Ensures quality execution of menu items and that they are delivered promptly to specifications• Ensures communication and correct execution of all special dietary requests as per established standards• Ensures the building, execution, and communication of daily specials, ensuring they are of 4-star quality and align with the established vision of the restaurant• Assists service during main meal periods• Provides ongoing coaching to.
