Job Duties• Ensure all food items and recipes are made to specification. • Oversee kitchen flow to maintain service standards. • Supervise and instruct cooks and other kitchen staff. • Assist with menu planning and the development of new dishes and their presentations. • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff. • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs. • Help manage suppliers, inventory and stock. • Monitor incoming product to ensure it meets standards. • Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs. • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Employment Requirements• Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience in a supervisory capacity. • Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and perform well under pressure. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • English language ability. • Completion of secondary school. Job Details• $22.00 per hour plus gratuities. • Full-time (35-40 hours per week). • Permanent position. • Physically demanding. • Standing for extended periods of time. • Day, evening, night and weekend shifts. • Extended healthcare benefits available.
