Work with managers and employees to resolve payroll issues. Administer the time and attendance module. Maintain payroll filing system and assist in conversion to a paperless payroll processing environment. Support Payroll Administrator and full cycle payroll processing. Maintain the payroll related General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization by applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including analytical work and thorough review of payroll related financial records. Prepare financial reports for tax reporting purposes and internal purposes. Responsibilities also include reconciling payroll related GL accounts, analyzing past costs, and obligations incurred to predict current and future payroll related expenses.Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To:Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, using ADP products (Time and Attendance, Workforce Now)Process employee maintenance, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, labor security group changes, etc.Perform general ledger accounts analysis and reconciliation as well as expense accrualsPrepare schedules, invoices, provide explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and prepare any other necessary data.Maintain secure and confidential payroll system and files, exercise a high degree of discretion and integrity when dealing with sensitive payroll informationCalculate wage and overtime pay, calculate and record payroll deductions, process request for payroll advances and final checksAdminister the time keeping system. Set up employees, validate adherence to FLSA, monitor submission of approved timesheets, and ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll system.Take a leadership role in developing or proposing changes to payroll procedures to improve accuracy and efficiencies by evaluating process flow, proposing new procedures, assist in management education and trainingDistribute payroll reporting to various internal business stakeholdersProcess child support orders and garnishmentsEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, third party vendors, and team membersStay current on all payroll regulations and requirements related to multi-state payroll processing and initiate new procedures to maintain complianceAdditional special projects and tasks as assignedQualificationsDesired Skills and ExperienceMust be able to maintain a high degree of confidentialityBA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related majorPrevious payroll processing experienceAt least two-years' experience in a payroll/finance/accounting roleHigh attention to detailIntermediate knowledge of ADP payroll processing and Workforce NowExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to juggle multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlinesAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong sense of self-motivationExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting cycle.Previous Microsoft Office experience with intermediate skill level in Excel and WordPrevious Great Plains experience a plusPayroll certification a plusHear from Charlie's employeesSupplemental InformationThis employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
