GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:The Programmer/Analyst's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new softwareapplications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing,coding, testing, analyzing software applications and management of purchased/cloudapplications. The Programmer/Analyst will also research, design, document, and modifysoftware specifications throughout the software life cycle.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Carry out fact-finding and programming analysis of problems, and determining the most appropriate procedures to resolve. Providing technical advice and support to users, including creating ad-hoc reports, data analysis, and correction, training and problem solving. Consults with users to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements. Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Writes and maintains technical specifications. Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs. Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms. Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems. Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications. Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs. Consults with users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Other duties as assigned2. Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.3. Working hours are normally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, unless after hour support is required. A NAS phone may be issued for support after hours.MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College ortechnical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Highly self-motivated. Keen attention to detail. Solid understanding of database principles. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment. Must be self-motivated and capable of learning programming languages in a short amount of time. Clear ability and desire to adapt to changing work environments along with self discipline needed to meet deadlines. Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures and define software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation. Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: AS400/ISeries/IBM I Rpgle Development Synon 2E / CA Plex Relational Database / SQL JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Basic understanding of EDI. Salesforce Web design / HTML / javascript Qlik Sense or Qlik ViewPHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Mobility in plant While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, etc. The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Visual ability with or without correction Communication abilitiesHEALTH AND SAFETY:1. Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines7. Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations8. Maintain a clean and safe work areaWORK ENVIRONMENT:1.
