Job Title: Land Intern Department: Legal, Regulatory, HR Reports to: Real Estate Paralegal Effective Date: Winter 2023 Location: Albany, NY | Remote Travel: 0% POSITION PURPOSE: This is a temporary, non-exempt position that will be reporting to the Real Estate Paralegal. This individual will be responsible for supporting Key Capture Energy’s (KCE) legal land operations including keeping data up-to-date, communicating with our title company, and facilitating the land acquisition process. Key Capture Energy is looking for someone who already has or is willing to be sponsored for a notary license. This is a great opportunity for law students or students in paralegal study programs. This individual will work approximately 8-10 hours per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and send land document execution packages Receive and scan partially executed documents for legal team approval Facilitate KCE countersignature and notarization of documents Prepare and send documents for recordation and send executed packages to counterparties Scan and upload documents to the appropriate folders File hard copies and maintain files in an orderly manner Update Land spreadsheet regularly All other duties as required WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: Must currently possess or be willing to retrieve notary license Pursuing legal degree or a current paralegal Must be able to come into office for a minimum of 6 hours once a week (M-Th) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
