Our Surgical Team changes kids' lives. Working here will change yours! Prepares for surgical procedures and assists surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractor and anticipating needs during surgical procedures. Assists with orientation of new personnel to the scrubbing role.Completion of one year coursework in an operating room technician program or equivalent experience may also be considered.Equivalent experience would be: If you have not completed a formal Surgical Tech program we would accept 1 year of OB Technician experience.Ability to rotate shifts and / or work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers.Ability to stand for long periods of time for up to 85% of work time, and lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services.This position is (4) 10 hour shifts from 6:50am until 5:20pm, with rotating off day.Although final position will be (4) 10 hour shifts, orientation will be Monday through Friday from 6:50am until 3:20pm with off shift rotation. Orientation lasts approximately 6-9 months depending on previous experience.This position also includes weekday, weekend and holiday call requirements.
