SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE20,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experienceNO CONTRACT Med Surg Overview: Mercy Fort Smith's Med Surg Service Line is made up of 7 specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. While you will have a "home unit", we cross-train our nurses between the various specialties to provide a strong foundational knowledge of all types of patient conditions, comorbidities, procedures, etc. Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their every day work, Med Surg is the place for you! General Surgery Unit Details: Patient Population: close monitoring and nursing care to adult surgical patients, specifically abdominal, thoracic, and vascular and other surgeries Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1 # of Beds: 26 UAP to patient ratio: 9:1Incentives: 1+ Years Experienced Nurse Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 for select departments Relocation Assistance up to $3,000 per policy Stay Premium Program- up to $8/hour based on years of Mercy service Education Assistance Up to $20,000 Loan Forgiveness for new grad nurses Tuition Reimbursement $2,000 per year Day-One comprehensive medical, dental & vision insurance PTO/Vacation Time Employer-Matched Retirement Funds Shift Differentials New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $7.50 RN/$5.50 LPNQualifications: Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications:Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
