Job Summary The Quality Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a team of quality engineers, supporting internal and external operations. This role will be tasked with identifying, resolving, and eliminating spacecraft and product manufacturing quality issues. You will be a key partner with engineering, manufacturing, and integration, driving the teams and the hardware to higher levels of reliability. This position will also be responsible for initiating corrective actions with our manufacturing and engineering teams.This position's internal job code is Quality Engineer & Program Mgr. Our team is currently hiring for level K. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of Quality Engineers, developing and growing organization to support the dynamic needs of the business Support day-to-day operations by assigning and delegating work across the team Drive solutions to the biggest operational problems by leading root cause and corrective action investigations Own resolution of Discrepancy Reports in operational areas, including suppliers Partner closely with manufacturing, integration, supply chain, engineering, and program teams to promote safe, efficient, and reliable operational success Develop and enforce quality requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle Lead key Quality Management System activities, inclusive of internal audits, calibration management, nonconformance management, etc. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline, or 3+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in engineering or STEM discipline Experience performing and applying statistical analysis methodologies Solid understanding of multiple root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies Intermediate knowledge of AS9100 quality standards Working knowledge of a variety of design, fabrication, integration, and testing methodologies Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience in a leadership position with direct reports Experience in the aerospace industry Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing, electromechanical assembly, propulsion production, structures fabrication, and vehicle integration and test Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay-Range Level K: $118,150 - $173,750 Benefits and Perks Millennium Space Systems offers a very competitive benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plan.
