<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br />● Perform transient transfections in CHO and HEK293 cells in scales 1mL to 25L to support pipeline productions adhering to established protocols<br />● Maintain seed train cell cultures in bioreactors and shake flasks<br />● Operate liquid handlers - Tecan and Hamilton for automated processes<br />● Operate wave bag reactors for productions and cell maintenance<br />● Maintain and troubleshoot key cell culture instruments such as Vi-Cell, Nova Flex2, Nova Flex, Cedex and bioreactors<br />● Participate in troubleshooting production or platform processes<br />● Participate in lab management and data management.<br />● Contribute to improving existing cell culture platforms and developing new platforms to deliver diverse protein and cellular reagents to enable a large number of research programs. The candidate must be highly self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and responsive to feedback. The candidate is expected to precisely follow written procedures, practice sterile technique, demonstrate accurate documentation skills, and report deviations in a timely manner. They should be able to work independently within guidelines and policies, with minimal guidance.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>Required:<br />● PhD (with 0-2yrs relevant experience) in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or relatedfields<br />● Suspension adapted mammalian cell culture (CHO and/or HEK293)<br />● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have strong collaborative skills.</p><p>Preferred:<br />● State-of-the-art transient and stable protein expression experience<br />● Relevant bioreactor experience<br />● Hands-on experience with automation and liquid handlers like Tecan Freedom Evo and Hamilton Microlab Star<br />● Knowledge of cell biology, cell engineering, molecular biology, recombinant protein purification and protein characterization is preferred</p><p>This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $48.25/hour-$64.3/hour</p><p>Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)</p><p>Magnit has an ongoing commitment to the diversity and inclusion of all team members.
