Job Title: Director of Clinical Services Program: Mental Health Outpatient Program Reports To: Senior Vice President of Programs Status: Exempt Salary: $125,000 Are you interested in leading the provision of mental health services to those in need? We are a small, dedicated team of Clinical Supervisors, Clinicians, and Case Managers, seeking a compassionate, committed, and driven leader for our team! The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in community mental health work and strives to make a true difference in the lives of those who are marginalized, underserved, and the most in need. Community Forward SF is a collection of vital programs that ensures our neighbors experiencing homelessness have effective services designed for their unique needs. Whether one needs housing, medical shelter, a safe place for recovery, or calm in the face of domestic violence - we care for those most vulnerable in our community. We are not just one program. We are a network of programs designed to work together to meet every stage of need. We focus on the hardest-to-reach, most vulnerable people: Cis & Trans Women, Medical Crisis, Substance Use Disorder, and Older Adults. Our programs meet the needs of people, rather than demanding that people meet the needs of our programs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The Director of Clinical Services will oversee the daily operations of clinical services and staff, maintain and provide oversight of client records, ensure compliance and quality improvement of charts and electronic health databases across all programs, facilitate clinical supervision sessions, and participate in program development and proposals. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Oversee daily operations of clinical services for Community Forward within these programs: A Woman’s Place, A Woman’s Place Drop-In Center, Permanent Supportive Housing sites, and ReEntry programming. Provide individual managerial check-ins for Supervising Clinician(s) across sites Collaborate with Program Directors regarding site-specific needs, programming, staff, and operations Manage new clinical staff orientation and onboarding needs. Create and maintain clinical curriculum and ensure clinical staff are fully trained. In conjunction with HR, oversee student practicum process lifecycle and ensure compliance with educational expectations and documentation requirements. Facilitate clinical training. Lead and collaborate in program design, development, and composition of Requests for Proposals as well as the implementation of said programs. In conjunction with the Supervising Clinician(s), lead the PURQC Committee meeting and ensure follow-up on action items from said meeting. In conjunction with the Director of Compliance, lead compliance meetings to ensure audit preparations. Respond to audit outcomes, recertifications, and site monitoring visits. Ensure adherence to all program policies, and procedures, and ensure that goals regarding Units of Service, Performance Objectives, and Staff Activity are met. Complete monthly and YTD Mental Health: EPIC, HIV CARE: ARIES, and SUD: Avatar reports. Work closely with Human Resources to address issues pertaining to clinical team members' onboarding, corrective actions, and staff development. Assist with assessment & diagnosis of clients with Supervising Clinician(s), if needed. Interact effectively with external partners, including HIV service providers, SUD service providers, supportive housing providers, and mental health professionals, as well as contract managers and audit personnel. Stay up-to-date on trends in standards of practice for mental health providers. Adhere to established policies and procedures. Training and meeting attendance. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or related human services field. California ADP Certification Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist Licensed for two years & able to provide Supervised Professional Experience (SPE) to clinicians and interns. License in good standing with appropriate Board of regulation. Must meet Medi-Cal Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA). Have full billing privileges with Medi-Cal and SF Department of Public Health. Experience providing managerial oversight of a Mental Health Service and team. Experience with compliance, audits, and grant or RFP writing. Experience with program design. Thorough understanding of homelessness, trauma, mental health issues, substance use disorder and recovery, HIV/AIDS, Intimate Partner/Domestic Violence, cultural diversity issues, neurodiversity, justice involvement, systems of oppression, and harm reduction. Knowledge of and familiarity with MediCal, EPIC, and Avatar. Strong organizational and administrative skills Ability to educate, teach, and train other case management and clinical staff Ability to engage with others in a positive, friendly, energetic, and helpful manner. Ability to express empathy and caring in the context of professional relationships. Experience working with people from various cultures and backgrounds. Experience with G-Suite applications. Ability to work in a networked computer environment. CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire. TB clearance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination within 7 days of hire. 5150/5585 Certification within 90 days of hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Five years of experience in individual and group counseling and client caseload management. Multicultural, multilingual in Spanish and/or other SF threshold language(s) Knowledge and familiarity with San Francisco billing databases (i.e. EPIC, ARIES, Avatar) Knowledge of San Francisco community resources and neighborhoods Passion for and experience with working with at-risk client populations Lived experience in homelessness and/or other systems of oppression Strong self-awareness, cultural humility, and commitment to personal praxis.
