Essential Job Functions: * Inspect, repair and maintain the continuous cookers.* Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective machinery.* Repair equipment as needed.* Operate machinery and tools in a safe manner.* Maitain accurate records of work performed and meter readings as needed.* Design, fabricate, weld and install equipment as required.* Oversee equipment operation as well as order supplies for department.* Responsible for general housekeeping of assigned work.* Assist in training junior mechanics.* Other duties as required or assigned by Management. Qualifications:* Knowledge of hand and power tools, including welders and torch cutters.* Mechanical repair and equipment maintenance knowledge.* Attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints, and manuals.* Must have the ability to effectively communicate with management and fellow employees.* Must have the ability to effectively understand proper documentation and handling of paperwork involved with departmental operations.* Requires the ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull varying weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes in awkward positions.* Job requires extensive walking, climbing, and some crawling.* Ability to work scheduled hours as necessary.
