Responsibilities: • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients• Draft and file wills, trusts, and powers of attorney• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current• Collaborate with clients to strategize asset distribution plans• Provide expert guidance on retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options• Analyze legal situations, understand client needs, and devise strategic action plans• Prepare wills, trusts, and powers of attorney Qualifications: • Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)• Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position• At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on on estate planning and probate law issues is necessaryWe are seeking candidates with the following characteristics:• 5+ years of Minnesota Estate Planning and Probate experience• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Iowa, or both• Positive attitude, self-motivated, tech-savvy, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal skills, and strong writing abilities Compensation: $105,000 - $150,000+ yearly About Company: The Yanowitz Law Firm is a nationally awarded law firm that helps people with wills, trusts, and probate.
