DAS is currently looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join the Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier at Ft. Belvoir, VA, and be an integral part of a committed and collaborative team. In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to a dynamic mission dedicated to swiftly delivering advanced protection, individual equipment, and aviation life support capabilities. By enhancing combat overmatch and ensuring seamless mission execution, you will play a crucial part in advancing the organization's objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise and be an asset in a team focused on achieving excellence in the defense sector. Responsibilities: Manage systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, and design solutions formulation. Apply system engineering principles to translate needs/requirements into system performance parameters and identify system/item configuration. Formulate and issue systems engineering documents, processes, procedures, and milestones. Provide expert advice on Systems Engineering Management Process, DOD policies, and Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD). Serve as a subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned programs. Perform top-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting. Translate military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications. Develop and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, and system interface requirements. Participate in post-awards, program reviews, design reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the project engineer and/or technical expert. Evaluate design efforts to ensure integration of all engineering disciplines. Requirements: ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. 15+ years of experience in systems engineering. Thorough knowledge of Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, DOD Acquisition process, and DOD policies on Systems Engineering. Ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with related programs and organizations. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
