You Deserve a Job you love!Volt is Immediately hiring a Full time Medical Billing Specialist, for an outstanding company in Albuquerque, NMAs a Medical Billing Specialist you will: * Utilize the electronic health records system (Therapy Notes) to submit, process and post all claims and copayments * Prepares paper claims * Posting and Aging * Follows up on unpaid claims * Work with insurance companies to file and appeal claims * Conduct insurance verifications with communication back to clients * Reconcile payments * Manage collections and payment plans * Prepare and make bank deposits * Upload insurance information to client's charts * Assist clinicians and patients with billing related questions/concerns * Run reports in the system, as requested * Follow internal processes along with best practices. * Complete all work accurately and in a timely manner. * Maintain HIPAA compliance - Observe strict patient confidentiality in all situations. * Promptly communicate with Management if issues occur * Attend companywide meetings (currently held via Zoom due to COVID). Meetings may be at held at any of the 3 offices. * Assist with administrative projects and tasks to support the team * Is professional, organized, positive, friendly, prompt and helpful * Is proactive, multitasks and manages workload with minimal supervision * All other duties as assigned by ManagementMedical Billing Specialist candidates must meet the below requirements for consideration: * Experience working with Counseling codes, preferred but, not required * Minimum of 2 years' experience doing Medical Billing * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Understanding of insurance * Understanding of medical terminology and billing codes * Computer Savvy with fluency in Microsoft Office productsThe schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmPay for this position is $18.00-$21.00 per hour.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
