RemX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with our client who is the GOLD STANDARD for filling and packing machinery solutions! This position is located in Chicago, IL and is an on-site role. $85k-$95k BOE with excellent benefits! Lots of room for growth, a great per diem package and work-life balance!! Duties: * Design mechanical parts and assemblies in SolidWorks. * 2D quality control drawings for manufacturing. * Component specification and selection. * Enter assemblies and references into document control system (SmarTeam). * Interface with vendors and contractors on a regular basis for part sourcing. * Assembly of prototypes based on the designs created. * Gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting. * Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.Requirements: * Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings, standard operating procedures and Bills of Materials. * Proficiency with Draftsight, AutoCad, and SolidWorks. * Knowledge of SmarTeam and QAD a plus. * Must possess a basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. * 2 - 3 years of Mechanical Engineering Experience. * Engineering experience in the automation field.
