Position Summary The Quality Specialist II will perform audits, document reviews and help identify production, process, or product issues. Other responsibilities will include witnessing tests and conducting inspections, and being able to drive resolutions as directed by the Quality policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Support Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operation programs and objectives. Review End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) for product assembly and testing. Implement quality assurance policies and procedures. Provide value-added improvements by streamlining the EIDP review process. Support processes to sustain AS9003 compliance and obtain AS9100 certification. Perform routine inspections and quality tests. Identify workflow and production issues and make recommendations for improvements. Work closely with all levels of management to help ensure internal processes provide results that are in compliance with external standards and contractual requirements. Work with Quality management to continuously enhance the audit process efficiency and efficacy by incorporating routine self-auditing by process owners. Develop required documentation and conduct company-wide training related to audits. Document quality activities and create metrics and reports. Work with Configuration Management (CM) to handle change orders and deviations. Support Material Review Board (MRB) activity. Provide direct customer support for hardware and/or software failures. Support Return Material Authorization (RMA) workflow activities. Limited travel ( Assist in incoming and outgoing inspections to include QA witnessing. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Certification or Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace is preferred. 4-6 years of cross-functional experience in the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Operations. Previous auditing experience required. Previous electronics and/or avionics and/or Aerospace industry experience preferred. Experience with business systems and database input and extraction. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.). Able to integrate quickly, communicate well, facilitate/lead; hit the ground running. Enjoy working in a growth-orientated and high-energy environment. Effective communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to details and talents for accuracy and precision. Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Salary Range $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
