Victory Highway Wesleyan Church is a rapidly growing, multisite congregation of 1100+ in central upstate New York. We are seeking a full-time Discipleship Pastor. This position will work closely with the Lead Pastor, and other ministry leaders, as we seek to fulfill our mission: proclaiming the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and making fully devoted followers of Him. Discipleship Strategy: This pastor will be responsible to work with the Lead Pastor to develop strategies that help Victory pursue our mission to proclaim the life-changing power of Jesus and to make fully devoted followers of Him. In a season of rapid growth for our church, we want to add a pastor to join our staff to help us develop and implement a discipleship strategy for every generation through formal and informal means. This pastor will help us develop and implement an intentional discipleship process, and a discipleship culture. Small Groups: This pastor will give direct leadership to small groups, launching new small groups, helping people get connected to groups, and creating training/resources for group leaders. Young Adults: This pastor will oversee (directly or indirectly) our young adult ministry. A thriving community of 25–30 young adults who gather twice a month. Volunteer Engagement: This pastor will help create holistic strategies and practices for recruiting volunteers, for identifying gifts, and for helping ministry leaders retain the volunteers they already have.
