D, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified and ITAR registered provider of contract assembly, quick-turn and production machining services, and composites is looking to add a Shop Assistant position to their growing machine shop team. Job Summary: The duties of these position are performed to produce composite sandwich panels, at various stations and stages of production Assemble constructions on the lay-up table, loading and unloading the charges at the panel press, and controlling the press operation sequence for different panel constructions, trimming panels and stacking for shipment Key Responsibilities: The main focus of this position is to deburr (smooth and remove sharp points and edges) the finished parts that come out of the CNC machine. Verification and withdrawal of materials from cold storage, allowing them to acclimate per the specification. Cut materials to the correct size per the work order, lay up the cut materials into a panel construction per the work order. Transfer the panel constructions into the platen press that has been adjusted to the correct temperature per the work order. Operate the press to perform the correct burp cycle for optimum removal of volatiles. Remove the panel constructions from the platen press after they have cured for the specified time. Trim panels on CNC machines to work order specified dimensions and palletize completed panels for shipping. Additional Responsibilities: Strong work ethic with attention to attendance and punctuality Reliable and strong team player Top Skills Details: production line, production equipment, machine safety, composite manufacturing, composite material, machine operation, trim work Must be able to work in manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles Minimum Requirements: This is an entry level position Pass a criminal background check upon acceptance of permanent job offer Education: High School diploma/GED preferred LaborMax Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer
